Cats beat Iowa

The Northwestern Wildcats took on the Iowa hawkeyes this saturday at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. The Cats got off to a slow start trailing 10-0 at the close of the first quarter. But the perservenance of the Cats narrowed Iowa's lead to 17-10 at half time. Cats came out strong in the second half by scoring or their first to posseions making the score 22-17. The stifling NU defense then held this lead for the remainder of the game.

The offense was led by CJ Bacher who had 3 touchdowns passing and played great coming off a pretty weak performance last weekend against Ohio. Corey Wutton led the NU defense with 8 tackles and two sacks.

All in all it was a great performance by the Cats, who increased their record to 5-0 and are now winning the Big Ten. Hopefully they can keep up the good work for the rest of the season.

The cats have been looking great this year and that last win proved it. They have a great shot at going to the BCS Championship game.

The Cats dominate. They've everything going for them and they're going to keep climbing in the rankings. It's too bad that they're going to have to lose to Notre Dame in the national title game in January. Oh well, second place isn't that bad.
